An e-Forum study into use of networked information screens by local authorities, has been completed, with the results scheduled to be presented by e-Forum director Baudouin de Sonis at the EISCO 2010 conference.
e-Forum completed the study in partnership with Brussels Free University. As part of the study, a survey was carried out into use of networked information screens by authorities in a number of European countries. Networked information screens are used by some local authorities to broadcast a range of public information, for example on municipal events and initiatives, or on public services and processes. The results of the survey are presently being compiled and analysed, and will be made public at the conference.
EISCO 2010 is the 8th European Information Society Conference, and takes place from 20-22 May 2010 in Bilbao, Spain. The conference’s aim is to look at local and regional eGovernment and information society strategies, in particular in the context of the Digital Local Agenda (DLA), a strategic plan for good governance and local/regional development of the information society in European municipalities, cities and regions.
